When watching the war over in Iraq and Baghdad, reminds me of the Vietnam war when the war was first broadcast to American people over the television. This left a salty taste in many American people about the war. No one was for the war that was happening over in Vietnam for the fact that many lives where being taken including innocent civilians over in Vietnam. When reflecting back to the war that just recently ended over in Iraq, there was plenty of protest going on in the United States stating that war was not the answer to every disagreement that the government has with other countries. Now when viewing images of children that are being killed due to a war oil or even over weapons that where not found yet america still decides to go to war.

When reading articles in newspapers the editors must make sure the information is vaild and not a story that was created only by imagination that the writer has made up. When reading the fifth chapter about Journalism as Warmonger it speaks about theYellow Journalism that was created by Joseph Pulitzer who was going up against William Randolph Hearst in giving out newspapers first that will catch the readers attention. This is what lead to the Spanish-American War about making up stories in the articles that was being service to the people who read the stories that the citizens actually thought it was true. Little did the people know that the stories was only made up into beliving that what was being put into the Yellow Journalism were false stories only being printed to make sales against the other journalist.

When you think of today news through the mass media I othen wonder about the information that is being giving to me if its actually telling the full true story of what is being put out there. Normally when listening to the news we tend to go by what is being told to us and going off of the story that's been given to us, yet when you start to investigate the story to find out what spark the cause its much deeper then what is being put out there. That's why I feel its very important for us to not only look for information in only one source, but also that we can receive the information from different sources that we do know what is liable.

Sowing The Seeds Of Revolution

When reading the first chapter in Mightier than the Sword about Sowing The Seeds Of Revolution.

It speaks upon how the people of the colonies (Untied States) where getting feed up with the mother country (England) from paying high taxes and being harassed by the military officers in the streets and their homes. Sam Adams wrote Journal of Occurrences which was also written by other Boston writters, who spoke about how the Britan military officers were constantly out of order. Thomas Paine also a writter wrote words of encouragement to the people who live in the colonies. Paine also gave encouraging words to Genreal Geroge Washington troops as they were crossing the icy Delware Rivers to fight the Red Coats, it was believe that Genreal Geroge Washington ask him to give his troops words of courage to continue to fight the American  Revolution. The American Revolution reminds me of Occupy Wall Street that is going on right now and around the country and world. Where people are basically tired of the cooperate ruling the goverment and having control of everything and everyone, so now protestes are speaking out about what is going on with the greed of cooperate wanting the power of operating world wide.

The Bloody Massacre that happen in Boston of 1770 reminds of the protester who were left with cuts and brusies on them once the police aggrastively arrest the protesters by demostrating their frustration with the disguse greed of the cooperates wanting more money, yet not showing any real proof of how its sincerly helping out the 99% working class who struggles to find jobs or having to pay high taxes.
